Florence Library Holds Big Spring Book Sale

The Friends of Florence County Library will sponsor a spring book sale event featuring thousands of used books on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Doctors Bruce and Lee Foundation Library in Florence.  This will be the largest book sale event the library system has held in nearly 14 years.

A wide variety of popular fiction, non-fiction, DVDs, VHS tapes, children’s books, and multi-volume bound periodicals from the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s (including Time, Newsweek, and Sports Illustrated) will also be on sale.  Some rare and esoteric books from the 1800s and early 1900s will also be available.

Most items will be priced less than one dollar. Additionally, a selection of new books on local history topics will be available at special pricing.  The sale will take place in the Joseph Stukes Meeting Room. Checks over ten dollars and most major credit cards will be accepted for payment.  All sales are final. All proceeds from the sale will go to the Friends of Florence County Library in support of library programs and collections. For more information, please call (843) 413-7070.
